Sprout was my team's submission to the GMU (Game Maker's Union) 2024 Game Jam. It was developed over 48 hours.
My primary contribution to the jam was coding the Enemy Robot AI state machines that make up the core challenge of the game. Robots follow patrol paths throughout the level until the player is spotted, at which point they enter a chase state and attempt to get within grabbing range. If they can successfully grab the player, they return them to the start of the level and return to their patrol path.
After the jam was complete, I personally spent the next week fixing most of the game breaking bugs in the first build as well as adding a few quality of life fixes + more sound effects and polish.
